Ibrahim Zateri has a doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in the Department of Cinema and Television and works as an academic staff member. He had two bachelor’s degrees (double major) from Anadolu University (Turkey) Faculty of Communication Sciences, Department of Cinema and Television in 2012, and also Department of Communication Design and Management in 2013. He also studied at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule RheinMain / Fachhochschule Wiesbaden, Germany) within the scope of the Erasmus exchange program between 2009-2010.
He received a master’s degree from Anadolu University’s Graduate School of Social Sciences at the Department of Cinema and Television in 2019 (thesis titled “Intra-Family Communication in the Turkish Cinema: The Sample of Nuri Bilge Ceylan Cinema”). Mr. Zateri also completed his doctoral program in the same institute and department and received his doctorate (Ph.D.) title in 2023 with his thesis titled “Trauma in Cinema: The Example of Onur Ünlü Cinema”. He continues his academic career, which he started as a research assistant at Çukurova University in 2014 (Anadolu University between 2018-2023). He has several film works (documentary, fiction short film, commercial, public spotlight film, etc.). and production awards. His academic research areas include communication, media and film studies.
